Hand built by Japanese-Australian ceramic artist Maya Lucy Bartlett, this chawan was formed in stoneware and wood fired in Cold Spring, NY. Inside the kiln, ash from the burning wood melts into a natural glaze as the flame moves across the surface, leaving color and texture found on no other bowl.
